Thought Technology Ltd is pleased to announce the release of its new MyOnyx device - a complete solution for surface EMG biofeedback and electrostimulation.

The MyOnyx rehab solution by Thought Technology features a sleek hand-held device, equipped with surface electromyography (sEMG) sensors that measure and display muscle activity in real time. This information helps the physical therapist ensure the activation of the specific muscles being targeted for treatment. Both patient and therapist can see when exercises are performed correctly and efficiently.

A powerful tool for physical therapy, the MyOnyx system can be used for single or dual site muscle rehabilitation protocols (work/rest, rapid contractions, endurance, fine control, etc.).

When muscle activity is greatly reduced, due to partial paralysis, EMG triggered electrostimulation is an effective technique to help restore strength and movement control. The MyOnyx provides 2 channels of STIM/ EMG triggered STIM and 4 channels of electrostimulation options, including NMES.

MyOnyx is also a great tool for patient follow-up and outcome measurement. You can download EMG biofeedback sessions (RMS) to the Android app and use it to review the data and print out statistical reports. When connected to a PC, you can easily access raw EMG data and generate session and trend reports - essential tools for documenting session work and tracking progress.

MyOnyx is a portable, rechargeable device that offers multiple functionality modes:

Standalone, the user can rapidly select and run ESTIM protocols. Remote control mode allows the use of an Android device, with the MyOnyx app, to select and run SEMG biofeedback, EMG triggered stim and ESTIM sessions remotely and view session activity in real time. The app also provides pre-programmed biofeedback sessions that keep clients engaged. PC Control mode lets you connect the MyOnyx to a Windows computer and run Thought Technology’s powerful BioGraph software to expand the possibilities of SEMG biofeedback. The MyOnyx Suite includes quick assessments and a full set of entertaining and engaging biofeedback options. There are two purchase options available to suit varying needs and budgets: the basic model can run in Standalone mode and comes with the Android app for remote control functionality, while the extended model includes all the hardware and software components you need to run MyOnyx in PC Controlled mode.
